It can be liberating, too. Especially when you learn you're not alone and you don't have to be perfect.

I don't believe there's a one-size solution. There isn't. The fact that mental health care is becoming less and less available is a severe and growing problem, however; it's one that must be addressed, and not through ever greater levels of punishment for the mentally ill.

I have little doubt that you're doing what you can -- and then some -- on behalf of your brother and others who have experienced the horrors of the System as it is.

But please remember to take care of yourself, too. You're only one person, and you can only do so much! :-)

Best,

ChéChé Pasahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01926630891287949373noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2304235862479840318.post-62656426816214863562011-01-24T16:26:57.652-08:002011-01-24T16:26:57.652-08:00Hey Ché,
Thank you for being so courageous and o...Hey Ché,

Thank you for being so courageous and open and honest. It's very hard to write about that stuff - I'm struggling hard to get it down on the page. So easy to just keep doing more research about the "facts" and keep the writing distanced and scholarly rather than simply share my own experiences of depression and PTSD, and how terrible it is to live with someone you love who is experiencing psychosis. You and I seem to have some crucial differences on how psychosis should be treated, but I just wanted to let you know how moved I was by your posts.

HelenAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
