This Will Be The Day, They Say...

The Revolution will finally come, and all the Trumpazoids will be rounded up by AntiFa Zombie-Horde special forces, taken to the AntiFa-FEMA camps and sorted into Re-Education or Execution baskets, and that as they say will be that. Soros will gain his greatest prize and the USA of yore will be no more.

Or something.

Have we really fallen so low that such fantasies have any currency at all? Apparently so.

When I was young -- but maybe not so innocent -- my buddy and I would play out fantasies based on the latest science fiction movie shown at the kiddie matinée in town. If one of us missed the movie for some reason, the other had to tell the story convincingly enough to make our playacting in the dusty schoolyard believable to us both. We pretended in all sorts of ways to battle aliens and spiders and ants and mutants and whatever else we could think of to battle against as we saved mankind and the earth itself from a fate worse than death -- again and again and again. And when we tired of that, we played at Space Adventure. For not everything had to be battled against. We could explore the Moon and Mars and distant Jupiter if we wanted.

Bobby and I were eight or nine years old, barely out of our Cowboys and Indians phase. If you'd asked me in 1955 or 56 what my favorite "land" at Disneyland was I'd say Frontierland. By 1957 my answer would be Tomorrowland.

Well, Tomorrow is here and this isn't quite what we bargained for.

Not hardly.

This notion that an AntiFa-Zombie Uprising, engineered by the Clintoons and Obomba and funded by the Other Devil-With-Horns Alien-(read "Jew") Soros is just daft, but it seems to have some currency among the not so bright 40-somethings in the alt-right who never progressed in wisdom beyond their eight or nine year old play-selves. Is this what comes from too much World of Warcraft? I wouldn't know. But something definitely odd has been put in the water, that's for dang sure.

Maybe while we weren't looking, the Rooskies won?

"Commies!!!" was part of our schoolyard play as well. We saw plenty of anti-Communist propaganda pictures at the kiddie matinées, and we were shown plenty of others in our school's cafetorium.
Cafetorium
Wonder of wonders the cafetorium is still there (courtesy of Google Streetview, May 2017). It hasn't changed, though what was our elementary school is now a charter high school. Makes sense. I guess.

Not only were we shown lots of anti-Communist movies in the cafetorium and at the kiddie matinées in town, we were also treated to plenty of nuclear annihilation movies, the kind that show the test dummies being blown to bits along with their incinerated houses. Made quite an impression, those movies did. We lived only a few miles from an Aerojet plant which we were told would be a prime target when the bombs started falling, and because of the mountain range just beyond the plant, the effects of the nuclear bomb would be reflected right back at us. See those windows high up on the north facing wall of the cafetorium? The plan was that the heavy canvas drapes would be pulled over them when the sirens went off and we, the children, would shelter under the tables and benches and along the walls in the cafetorium if we had time to get there. Otherwise, we'd duck and cover in our class rooms, where one whole wall was windows practically down to the floor and the opposite wall had a high strip of windows. How were we supposed to survive being cut to ribbons even cowering under our desks? There was a sort of plan of pushing all the desks against the wall away from the window wall and then getting us all to shinny under the desk-fort we'd made, but it was a madhouse when it was tried out, so they figured out the best thing would be to have us kneeling against the far wall, backs to the window wall, with desks lined up between us and the windows. On the other hand, I remember teachers shaking their heads during annihilation drills as if to say "This isn't gonna work." Something they dare not say out loud.

One day, one of my favorite teachers was absent and a truly stupid substitute had taken his place. I mean, stupid. We asked what had happened to Mr. Beamas, At first, we got no answers, but as the days wore on and Mr. Beamas didn't return, the class got restless and defiant. Where was our teacher? Was he sick? Was he dead? What was going on? Why did we have to put up with this idiot substitute?

No answer. After a week, though, maybe two, Mr. Beamas was back in the classroom, but he wasn't the same. Like the Body-Snatchers had got him or something.

After class one day, a few of us stuck around and asked him what had happened. Had he been in a car wreck? Was he in the hospital?

He finally opened up a little, but he clearly didn't want to say too much. He said he'd been suspended and reported to the police/FBI (I don't remember which) on suspicion of Communist sympathies. He'd been interrogated about his own actions and about everyone he knew, and about what he'd been teaching in class. Apparently there'd been a complaint from... someone. He didn't know who. About ....he didn't know what.He assumed he was under surveillance and he couldn't say much more.

This is the idyllic world we lived in in the 1950s.
In the schoolyard, c. 1958
That's the schoolyard, and that's me in the white shoes on the monkey bars. The dusty schoolyard, afterwards planted to grass stretches out behind us. My house was just across the drainage ditch from the schoolyard, and for a long time there wasn't a fence between the edge of the schoolyard and the drainage ditch, so it was pretty easy for me to climb my own backyard fence and scamper across the concrete ditch to get to school rather than going the looooong way around. The long way around was so long there was actually a bus that would take me.

After a while, it occurred to me that the safest place we could be when the bombs came was that concrete ditch -- as long as there wasn't any water in it. It was 10 maybe 12 feet deep, maybe 50 feet across at the top, 15 feet at the bottom, and at least a mile long, from the base of the hills on the east to the big ol' culvert under the roads and houses to the west. If we could get to it -- it was pretty far away -- the culvert would be an even better shelter yet.

I remember  mentioning the ditch as a shelter once during a duck and cover drill and being promptly hushed up. One wasn't supposed to have ideas, after all. Not during a Commie-scare bomb drill. For cryin' out loud.

My buddy Bobby lived near the culvert, though, and he'd checked it out on his own. He said it was pretty hard to get into because of the fencing around it, but he managed to and said it could hold the whole neighborhood. So we made plans to get there when the time came.

But it never came, did it?

That's the thing. Despite all the scares and the drills, the time never came, and eventually the threat of instant incineration was forgotten. Even if NK goes ballistic and annihilates a city or two, we  could hardly care less. Oh well, who really needed Seattle, right? Buncha Leftists anyway. No one even notices the obliteration of city after city in the far-distant lands of our Imperial conquest. They deserve it, whatever, right? You bet.

No, what we're to fear are hordes of Mexicans crossing the southern border to steal our stuff and rape our women. What we're to fear are the hordes of bearded Mooslums itching to blow us to bits or run us down with rental trucks. What we're to fear is Zombies and AntiFa and AntiFa Zombies and Clintoon and Obomba and George Fucking Soros!!!!! Aiyeeeee!

How far we have fallen.

Welp, this is supposedly the Day that They Rise... and round up all the Trumpazoids for final disposition.

One awaits...

Cheers.

What Were They Thinking?

As this electoral debacle devolves, more and more it looks like not only did Trump sow the wind, so did the ruling clique that now faces as profound a constitutional crisis as last time this sort of thing happened (2000) and are facing a far more resistant Rabble due to events that have transpired since the 2000 abomination.

What were they thinking?

Both major candidates were absurd, and were insults to the rest of us. I think that was quite purposeful, too. Our Rulers fully intended to insult us, and so they did.

Don't think that Trump was somehow some kind of pop up populist who popped out of nowhere to slay the R Establishment Dragon and ride to victory. That's not what I saw going on at all. He was carefully groomed to play a supporting role in the Pageant, and to serve as a sop to the raging crazies on the Right. I think he did his job, and he's still doing it. The trouble is, he wasn't supposed to win.

And I think he wouldn't have if some shadowy force hadn't interfered in the count in just those states where he had to win in order to secure an EC majority. Just. Those. States. Alrighty, then. In other words, something changed in the background dynamic of the factions which produce our  Presidents.

I won't go into all the factional politics that are part of the Deep State that rules us, but the Pageant that passes for an election campaign is just that, a Pageant. And who ultimately rules depends more on which faction gains the upper hand in the background than it does on the Rabble's votes. The candidates are proxies for the factions.

Hillary's faction had the upper hand up to the very end of the Pageant/campaign, and then whoops! the prize was snatched right out of her hand just like that. The tell that this is what happened was Hillary's concession the next day, in which she basically abased herself before the God-Emperor Trump -- or rather his faction -- without a single reference to Putin's Interference or any questioning of the results whatsoever.

Since only those "must win" states flipped -- some by a tiny margin -- at the very end of the Pageant, my sense is that the faction backing Trump, whoever they are, was able to gain the upper hand through strategic vote counting (how well they know how to do it by now) and wah-lah. The prize goes to ... Trump!

The question is, why would they do it? What were they thinking?

Their action has precipitated a constitutional crisis and a crisis of legitimacy, not solely for the incoming president, but for the Ruling Class in its entirety. The situation is very unstable, to the point where it looks like the nation could disintegrate, though I doubt that will happen, at least not soon.

When it was shown that Hillary got more votes than Trump, initially by a few hundred thousand nationally, the Trump partisans simply dismissed it as irrelevant; only the EC mattered, and her margin was too tiny to even notice. But since then, her margin has grown to the point where it may top out at 3-4 million, far greater a margin than any defeated candidate has ever led by. This is the fifth time the popular vote leader has been denied the presidency, the second in the last 16 years, but never has there been such a stunning difference in the popular vote between the vote leader and the person installed in the presidency.

Whoops! The discrepancy has become so great that the Trump partisans are now trying to claim that Hillary jiggered the results in the Blue States, and that in fact Trump won the popular vote. He did! He did! Nyah. Nyah. I don't think they really want to go down that path. But they're going down it out of desperation. The transition simply isn't going well. It's falling to pieces.

At least from what little I've seen of him -- is he bunkered down in his penthouse or what? -- Trump seems to be trying to be a little less childish and tantrumy, but he's obviously not in control of his own raging whatevers. The PTB look to be giving him enough rope to hang himself if you ask me.

So what's the long game here?

I think I sketched out a scenario yesterday whereby he's allowed to take office but then exits stage right -- voluntarily or by force -- in favor of his VP, a right wing religious zealot, who also leaves before the Rabble storms the gates, burns down the palace and hangs every aristo they can get their hands on (figuratively of course.) At that point, some unelected hoo-hah (maybe a general) is installed to bring the disorder in and out of government to a halt, much to the relief of most Americans.

I think a scenario of that sort becomes more likely every day this unstable situation is perpetuated.

I suppose this sort of Deep State factional struggle was inevitable once Our Rulers succumbed to the blandishments of so much cash to be had for their compliance with the wishes of the Few and the Proud and the Rich.

They're not so brave though. And they're not all that smart.

In this context it appears that Trump is way out of his depth -- he had no idea -- and he had no intention for this sort of thing to happen. I don't think he had any idea he'd be the EC victor. Didn't enter his mind, because that wasn't the way it was supposed to go. Hillary was supposed to win, everyone was prepared for Hillary's win, even or especially Trump, and then... something happened. Somehow it got fucked up, and I don't think it was the voters who did it.

Actually, they can't. But that's another story.

No, because of the tiny margins by which Trump appears to have secured Michigan and Pennsylvania, and the somewhat larger margins in Florida, Wisconsin and Ohio (Wisconsin's being the most questionable) I think we've been rooked by a faction of Our Betters who decided among themselves at the last minute that Hillary could not be president. And once she was informed (the night of the election) she said OK, have it your way.

I think she pissed off somebody -- yes, they're that petty -- who could pull the plug on her, and the plug was pulled.

Whoops!

But they didn't think it through, and there is no Plan B.

So. Here we are.

Someone posted a comment at NC yesterday which suggested I wanted to see a "color revolution" in the US. This is nonsense, of course, but the whole Color Revolution and Soros funding CT is coming from a faction of Trump partisans who appear to be desperately trying to hold this hot mess together by throwing whatever they can think of against the wall hoping that something sticks.

Soros is a Devil, of course, because he funds factions of the Rabble which hector the High and Mighty, and he played a role in the Eastern European Color Revolutions that eventually led to the fall of the Soviet Union, much to his personal profit and pleasure.

Of course it's the profit and pleasure part of these efforts I dispute. Color Revolutions basically exchange one boss for another, in Eastern Europe, it amounted to replacing the Communist rulers with NeoLiberal rulers who proceeded to strip the public of every ounce of wealth they could get their hands on, reducing them to poverty, ill health and functional slavery to the profit and pleasure of a handful of greed crazed oligarchs. Which they call "Democracy!" Feh.

You think I want to accelerate that process here through the efforts of Color Revolutionaries? No way!

But that notion got going among Trump partisans when the protests kept growing and growing, spreading and spreading, and they started having a destabilizing effect on the cities where they are taking place, which in turn has a butterfly effect throughout the nation. Obviously, this must be a Soros-funded effort to overthrow the duly elected government, right? Like the Maiden in Kiev, right?
Soros! Nuland! Clintooons!  They're trying to overthrow the government! Just like a Color Revolution!

Obviously.

The CT and paranoia is thick and heavy with those people in part because Trump has been feeding it for years. As president-elect, though, he's been trying to back away a bit from what he used to revel in as recently as the day of the election.

I'll tell you this, though. If it were a Color Revolution type operation, not only would Trump be unable to survive it, the whole rotten apparatus of government including the craven Congress and their sponsors and owners would be swept away as if they never existed. It's not going to happen because what's going on isn't a Color Revolution, but if it were...

But aren't I arguing that something like that is going to happen anyway?

I suppose I am, except that the scenario I've laid out preserves the framework of the present government, and it doesn't sweep away the deeply embedded corruption and its practitioners. It doesn't even necessarily change the background players. All it does is change the face of the operation, and it imposes "order" on the chaos that has been precipitated by the abomination of the so-called election.

The Republic becomes an empty shell; the forms are still there, but they don't function. The game is still played, but it becomes solely sport and entertainment, elections having no consequences. The institutions of rule become more rigid, the pre-chosen President more like a God-Emperor (Hail Caesar!) whose word is law, whose divinity is worshiped by cult followers, and woe betide whoever doesn't bow down.

That's the more likely outcome than a Color Revolution. But ya never know. Things can change in a twinkling, as they did election night.

Whatever the case, Hillary will not be president, and Trump may not be either, at least not for long.

The flop sweat of Our Rulers is stinking to high heaven, and We the Rabble are in for a very rough ride.

Signing off. Your correspondent in the Wilderness. Ché.

On Taking Over the World

Most assuredly.

[NB: Back in the Bad Old Days, I would often equate Newt Gingrich's ravings and plots with those of The Brain, and his rotating cast of sidekicks with Pinky. Now that Gingrich's star has been eclipsed, we have a New Model Brain. Read on...]

Over at Salon.com, Emma Mustich has put together a consideration of Glenn Beck's ravings over the Soros Plan To Take Over The World that attempts to mirror the facts of Beck's own actions and suggests the doughy little munchkin may be... how do you say... projecting.

Indeed.

Actually, the 5 Step Plan Beck is promoting as the Soros Scheme is pretty much how any activist movement that's serious about "Change" has to proceed if they are going to successfully overturn -- and replace -- an entrenched Establishment.

You will note as I go through the list that these are things that American "Leftists", especially on the Internets, absolutely will not do. Which really tells you all you need to know about how serious they are about real change.

  • Form a Shadow Government

This is so utterly basic, and yet it is not even considered by the putative Left of the Internet libertarian spectrum. The point of having a Shadow Government is to be able to authoritatively assert alternative policies while undermining the Establishment, and to have a substitute government ready to roll as it were when the Rotting Old Establishment collapses. But no such thing is happening on the Left; it is always the purview of the Right. There is a fairly obvious reason why: The so-called Left is or wants to be part of The (existing) Establishment. Oh noes.

  • Control the Airwaves

Or at least some of them. Again, this is not done at all, or is done only on the margins, by the Activist Left, particularly that part of it that is well-known on the Internets. What they try to do instead is worm their way onto the Established Talking Heads programs, and thus achieve credibility within the Establishment. The efforts on the Left (so-called) to capture any significant portion of the AM radio airwaves and cable television have been a failure for many reasons, but one of the main ones is that so-called Leftist funding sources (where are you, My George Soros??!!) refuse to back them with anything like the kind of financial support they require -- Rupert Murdoch has dumped billions into his right wing media empire, for example, much as Sun Myoung Moon has done -- and of course personality clashes within the failed Leftist Media are legendary. But then, why try to set up a media plex to compete with the Murdochs and others on the Right when it's so much easier (or at least appears to be) to work you way onto a seat at the Big Table the Establishment already provides?

  • Destabilize the State by compromising the economy.

This is a big-boy effort that you don't want to play around with unless you are prepared to do it and are prepared for the consequences, but it is something Leftist Activists won't even consider. They don't want a destabilized State, for one thing. If anything, they're desperate for stability, not more destabilization -- which has long been a trait of the Rightist authoritarians. The Activist Left (on the Internets) would be calling for General Strikes and No-Pay Days all the time if they had any interest in "destabilization." Instead, they typically advise against any sort of effective destabilization action (even street protest), advising their audience to use their energy to back candidates for office and to vote. Which we know is effective on behalf of the Establishment. QED.

  • Provoke an Election Crisis

Again, this is something -- ie: the provocation -- Internet Leftists simply will not do. Instead, they are almost completely absorbed with electing their Great Man (or Woman as the case may be) to office, by the rules, and gracefully conceding when they lose. The Election process is sacrosanct to them, much as the Constitution is often seen as Holy Writ. They cannot conceive of provoking an election crisis (as for example the Busheviks infamously did). Again, this is not something you want to do unless you are prepared to do it and prepared for the consequences (as the Busheviks clearly were). But it is one very effective way to achieve Change objectives -- if that's what you really want, and I would suggest that the disinterest on the Internet Left in using effective techniques like this is yet another sign that they aren't interested in Change except as a rhetorical device. What they want is stability, the status quo, and to be accepted and respected by the Establishment many of them pretend to loathe and despise.

  • Finally:

  • Stage massive demonstrations.

Ha! Internet Leftists will not do that; nothing gets them crabbier than seeing People in the Streets for any reason. Nothing terrifies them more than Giant Puppets on Parade. They reflexively denounce and despise "demonstrations" and condemn them as useless feel-good exercises or mob actions. And yet, Massive Demonstrations are part of how you effectively achieve Change. Cf: the Fall of the Soviet Empire, indeed, the fall of the Soviet Union itself. Just as examples. You've got to get off your duff and go bang on some pots and pans, block the streets, and take some physical risks. But Internet Leftists absolutely will not do that. They will reflexively denounce even a rally like that of Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert. They can't help themselves. They hate demonstrations.

  • All this is to say that there specific things that can be done by organized interests to effectively Change the System. Glenn Beck accuses arch-Leftist-Devil and Self-Hating-Jew George Soros of trying to engineer some sort of Leftist coup, and he cites all these nefarious things Soros is doing to achieve his goal of World Domination. Only he's not doing those things nor are his minions. If only they were! But no.

The only people doing these things are the only ones who really want significant, systemic Change: the Rightists aligned with Beck and his sponsors.

    Funny how that works.

    Not funny ha-ha.
